Commonwealth Packaging Company wins PEAK Award from Print Services & Distribution Association May 9, 2010 - Harrisburg - The Print Services & Distribution Association (PSDA) selected Commonwealth Packaging Company (CPC) as the Award of Excellence winner in the Packaging category of the 2012 PEAK Awards. PSDA’s PEAK Awards program recognizes excellence in the print industry promoting projects that display innovation, excellent quality or produce high return on investment.  The judges selected a Grand Award winner in each of the categories. Calypso Bag Makes Cameo in Disney’s ‘Enchanted’

Harrisburg, Pa – As a leader in the retail packaging industry for nearly 50 years, it’s not unusual to see Commonwealth Packaging bags being toted along the sidewalks of the most famous shopping districts in the country.  But Commonwealth Packaging Company CEO Mark Maisel says even he was surprised to see a CPC bag produced for Calypso – a popular New York fashion boutique – appear in the hands of actress Amy Adams in the Disney movie, Enchanted.

“I get a thrill when I see an anonymous shopper walking down the street with a bag we’ve created – but it’s really special to see your work on the screen,” Maisel said. “We’ve proudly partnered with Calypso for more than five years. Stores like Calypso take as much pride in their shopping bags as what goes in them.

So we’re honored that they trust us to get the bag just right.” Maisel said CPC produced a line of everyday bags and a one-of-a-kind pearlescent bag for Calypso’s Flagship store in New York City.  CPC also produces apparel boxes, tissue paper and ribbon for Calypso stores and is also responsible for distribution.
